Morning View Heritage Area North Double Loop

Overview. I really do enjoy this hiking area. The trails are well-cared for and the surroundings are both varied and interesting. This double loop includes the Wetlands and Dickerson Trails with plenty of wildflowers, birds, and solitude to enjoy. Well away from densely populated areas, the sign-in sheet shows about one visitor per day - and that’s a wonderful thing.

Trail navigation. From the sign-in box, take the wide gravel path to the Wetlands Trail and follow the mowed grass path through the wetlands. There is a turn off early on to the right. Skip this, as it leads to the maintenance shed. Continue around the loop and return past the barn. Look right and pick-up the Dickerson Trail that moves uphill steadily before turning right away from the Keissl Trail. There are a couple views here that would be spectacular on a clear skied morning. Continue around until the next trail intersection. Turn right and descend until reaching the Wetlands Trail, following it back to the parking lot.
